Dr John Law
Consultant Respiratory Physician,
Nobel Chest and Internal Medicine Centre
Dr John Law is currently a consultant respiratory physician at Nobel Chest and Internal Medicine Centre. He graduated from University of Melbourne, Australia in 2002 and obtained the MRCP (UK) in 2008. He then went on to specialty training in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine and was accredited by the Specialist Accreditation Board as a Specialist in Respiratory Medicine and Intensive Care Medicine.
Prior to joining Healthway Medical Group in 2014, he was a Consultant at Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Changi General Hospital. He was also core faculty member in the Singhealth Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr Law was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Graduate School of Medicine and Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
Dr Law is currently a Board Member of the Respiratory Chapter in the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He has a special interest in COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and asthma. He is regularly invited to speak on these topics.
Dr Colin Theng is a highly-regarded, fully accredited dermatologist who has more than 20 years of experience in clinical medicine and has been practising dermatology since 2000. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1995 and went on to complete his training in family medicine, receiving his Masters in Family Medicine from NUS and Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) UK.
Dr Theng completed his dermatology training at the National Skin Centre and was a recipient of the Health Manpower Development Plan award (HMDP) to further his training in dermatology at Hope Hospital, Manchester in the UK, where he subspecialized in the areas of phototherapy, photodermatology and psoriasis. Through his training, he has garnered extensive experience in treating both Asian and Caucasian skin types.
Prior to founding The Skin Specialists and Laser Clinic, Dr Theng was a Senior Consultant at the National Skin Centre and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke NUS. He was the former Chief of the Psoriasis Unit and Phototherapy unit at National Skin centre and the Head of Subspecialty clinics. He has vast experience in both medical dermatology and laser surgery, with over 10 years of laser experience. He also pioneered the use of Metvix-PDT (photodynamic therapy) in Singapore for the treatment of actinic keratosis and skin cancer.
Dr Theng is currently the President of the Psoriasis Association of Singapore, and is a Councillor with the renowned International Psoriasis Council. He is also a member of the Dermatology Society of Singapore and was the former treasurer of the society.
Dr. Mark Tang is a fully accredited Consultant Dermatologist with more than 20 years of outstanding clinical practice. He is a well-respected and highly regarded dermatologist and is a key opinion leader in the areas of eczema, immune-mediated skin diseases, wound healing and skin cancers, including skin lymphomas.
Prior to setting up The Skin Specialists and Laser Clinic, Dr. Tang spent 16 years at the National Skin Center (“NSC”) where he last held the positions of Senior Consultant, Director of Research as well as Head of the Eczema and Wound Clinics. He was also a Clinical Associate Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (“NUS”).
Dr. Tang graduated top of his NUS medical class in 1995 with the Singapore Medical Association Silver Medal, as well as the Gordon Ransome Gold Medal, for topping the postgraduate Masters of Internal Medicine examinations in 2000. He was a recipient of the prestigious VS Rajan Gold Medal in Dermatology in 1995. He completed his Dermatology training locally at NSC, as well as clinical fellowships at the Department of Dermatology, University of Pennsylvania, USA and the University of Toronto, Canada, under the HMDP Fellowship Award. He was the Principal Investigator for many research studies, including clinical trials in Acne and Eczema, and has published extensively in high impact, international peer-reviewed journals.
He is currently a Member of the Dermatology Residency Advisory Committee, Dermatology Specialist Accreditation Exam Committee, a Course Instructor for the Dermatological Society of Singapore Aesthetic Practice Certificate of Competency Course and a Clinical Tutor at the Department of Dermatology, School of Medicine, University of Cardiff, United Kingdom.
Dr. Lim received her basic medical training in the UK and graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 1983. She continued her postgraduate specialist training in various teaching hospitals there and was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in London in 1988 and subsequently as a Fellow in 2001. After 8 years of working experience in the UK, she settled in Singapore to join the Kandang Kerbau Women's and Children's Hospital where she worked for another 8 years where her final post was as a consultant in the Maternal-Fetal Medicine department before leaving to set up her own practice at Mount Alvernia Medical Centre.
Dr. Lim has been trained in all fields of general obstetrics and gynaecology, with particular interest in fetal maternal medicine entailing the care of pregnant women and the safe delivery of their babies, gynaecological surgery, adolescent gynaecology, menopausal, anti-ageing and nutritional medicine.
Dr. Lim is an advocate for breastfeeding, having successfully breastfed both her children.
Graduated from National University of Singapore Medical School in 1984 and has been specializing in practice of cardiology since 1991. Area of practice include management of hypertension, arrthymia, hypedipidemia, ischemic heart disease, valvular heart disease and heart failure. Subspecialty interest in field of echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography. Other services offered include ECG, treadmill-ECG test, ambulatory BP monitor, coronary angiography and coronaryangioplasty.
